Over four unforgettable days, their wedding unfolded like a dream in chapters. The henna night glowed with laughter, music, and hands adorned in intricate patterns of promise. The Indian day shimmered with tradition, color, and dance, a festival of joy that wrapped everyone in its energy. Then came the Chinese celebration, where the gentle elegance of the tea ceremony honored family, love, and legacy. Finally, the rock and roll pool party was carefree, wild, and full of heart, the perfect ending to a celebration that felt as alive as the couple themselves.
Every moment was a reflection of who they are: bold, loving, and beautifully unafraid to be themselves. Through it all, one truth echoed: when two stories meet with open hearts, the world expands, and love finds a thousand ways to shine.

Charis (Marry and Me) was the only wedding photographer we interviewed, after we saw her incredible work. She has a very natural, almost docu-style way of capturing people, where everyone looks gorgeous, happy – and like themselves. She has a way of making the day look like both a gorgeous editorial spread and the most fun party you’ve ever been to. When we first met her (over Zoom!), we immediately were taken with her warm, laidback energy. We knew it would be a blast to have her there on our special weekend, because honestly we wanted to hang out with her!
Unsurprisingly, it was an absolute joy to have her there the whole weekend. From her calming energy to her sense of play, whether capturing fun moments with friends or doing a photoshoot in the streets of Noto on a vespa taxi, Charis was a dream.

I spent over six months looking for a photographer, having spoken to dozens of photographers, and when I finally met Charis, I knew she was the person I had been searching for all along. She is incredibly talented. She has the ability to capture all the little moments that mean so much on someone’s wedding day and create a story that you relive every time you look through the pictures again.
To be able to capture a single day from start to finish is quite difficult—but Charis and her team did that for four days in a row, as I am Pakistani-Indian American and my husband is Swiss-Chinese. She ensured that all of the rich cultural traditions we shared with our guests were beautifully documented, and she made us feel at ease the entire time.
Charis is now a friend, and when I look back, I’m so glad she was our photographer—because it truly felt like a friend was helping us the whole time. I hope that when we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, she will remember us and help us again.
