In the enchanting village of Gogoli, Italy, Henriette & Joost embarked on a magical journey to celebrate their love in a traditional wedding ceremony. The day began in their cozy family house, where they lovingly prepared for the occasion, surrounded by the warmth of their closest family and friends.
As the sun began to set, the couple made their way to the charming village church, where they exchanged heartfelt vows and sealed their commitment to each other in a beautiful ceremony. After the emotional exchange, they joyfully strolled through the narrow cobblestone streets, accompanied by a lively band playing traditional Italian music.
The entire village came alive with excitement as the newlyweds passed by, with villagers leaning out of windows and balconies to wave and cheer for the happy couple. The air was filled with the sweet sounds of music and laughter, creating a truly magical atmosphere that enveloped the streets of Gogoli.
Following the procession, the couple and their guests gathered at a local bar to raise a toast to the newlyweds and enjoy some refreshing drinks. The celebration continued as they made their way back to the couple's family house, where a sumptuous dinner awaited them.
As the night unfolded, the sounds of laughter and music filled the air as the couple danced the night away with their loved ones. It was a night to remember, a celebration of love and joy that would be etched in their hearts forever.

Charis (Marry and Me) was the only wedding photographer we interviewed, after we saw her incredible work. She has a very natural, almost docu-style way of capturing people, where everyone looks gorgeous, happy – and like themselves. She has a way of making the day look like both a gorgeous editorial spread and the most fun party you’ve ever been to. When we first met her (over Zoom!), we immediately were taken with her warm, laidback energy. We knew it would be a blast to have her there on our special weekend, because honestly we wanted to hang out with her!
Unsurprisingly, it was an absolute joy to have her there the whole weekend. From her calming energy to her sense of play, whether capturing fun moments with friends or doing a photoshoot in the streets of Noto on a vespa taxi, Charis was a dream.

Choosing her as the photographer for our own wedding was an easy decision. She collaborated with us on ideas for our day, the location, and provided great tips.
On the actual day, she was very flexible and even managed to arrange for the bridal suite to be available earlier for my preparations as the bride. With Charis, there were no hours-long couple shoots with forced poses, but rather a lovely moment for just the two of us, where she made us feel very comfortable, resulting in spontaneous photos.
